Loading back into your party after crashing...
I was thinking, since I just got Error 7'ed out of Zone 3 of the Tombs Challenge after about an hour and a half of tedious fighting, why not have a system where you can log back into your party's zone in case you crash or error=7? Maybe you could have some special code or pass attached to you that identifies the party that you were in, or something like that. It would make life in this game alot better, and save a few grand in computer monitor damage.

This has been suggested about eight billion times, and ANet is well aware that people have been asking for it. Whether it will ever be a part of the game remains to be seen.

I think the problem with addding this was that if people have the ability to enter other peoples instances, so do hackers.

Anarchy Online has longer timeout when client is not responding. I think it is 5 minutes or something. Helped a lot when disconnects happened. My character just idled there until I logged back. Maybe something similar would be good for Guild Wars too.

that has been the problem that I have heard many times... If you can log into instances then it may be possible to hack the instance... Not cool... does it suck... yes... can it be avoided. not really. sometimes it happens sometimes it dont... I feel for ya, but little can be done about it at this particular time...

Although I think the idle was to prevent people from leaving before they die, I think it might work in Guild Wars for returning to instances.

Couldn't you have it to where you're ''gray space'' on the party roster counts as a slot taken, so no one except for me could fit in if someone DID try to hack into it. Oh, and why would some loser try to hack into an instance? To help us do the mission?
(Yes, I realize they would try to do other things.)

This was a feature EQ had from day 1. Even when LDON came out if you dropped when you logged back in you went directly to that instance. But, I have no clue of the costs or programming efforts for this so I'm not going to bash Anet for not having it. Just reminding them it would be nice.
